Open Neighborhoods co-hosts with Sierra Club a West Los Angeles Solar Tour

As part of a national movement, Open Neighborhoods partnered with the Sierra Club, LA Beyond Coal campaign, the Los Angeles Business Council, ASES and solar advocates as part of a national solar tour.

Called the “the world’s largest grassroots solar event,” the nonprofit American Solar Energy Society (ASES)’s National Solar Tour is now in its 15th year. The event showcased innovative green buildings and homes, and presented how owners use energy efficiency, solar energy, and other sustainable practices to reduce utility bills and help the environment. The ASES partnered with many local organizations to make the tour a reality, and expected 160,000 attendees to view 5,500 buildings in 3,200 US communities. Open Neighborhoods was pleased with the support and participation.
